In this book John Peatey recounts the events of the afternoon of 12th January 1952 which sent tremors of alarm throughout the Air Ministry top brass. The prototype Vickers Valiant Bomber, on a test flight from Hurn Airport came to earth and disintegrated. The scattered burning wreckage centred in Harrow Wood on the outskirts of Bransgore.
