St John Ambulance parade

DESCRIPTION OF RECORD:

Large photograph C1949 showing a parade of St John Ambulance Brigade girls passing in front of Square House in the High Street and taking the salute from the Brigade dignitaries. Parade tails back to Church Street. Junction with Wick Lane shown a Tobacconist & Confectioner corner shop, neighbouring property is the Dolphin Inn. Sign by front door of Square House reads 'Day Nursery'.
