Description says: Castle Hall, attributed to Richard de Redvers, Earl of Devon, died 1162. Saved from destruction in 18th C. by Rev William Jackson, vicar & Mayor of Borough 1778. Probable residence of 7 Kings of England. Edward 1, 8 visits, Edward 11, Edwards 111, Henry V11, Henry V111, Edward V1.
