DESCRIPTION OF RECORD:

Stone tablet/commemorative stone on the north side parapet of the Millstream bridge by the Constables House, Castle Street Christchurch. Inscription reads: This bridge was widened 10 feet at the expense of Sir G.W. Tapps Gervis Bar.t. Arthur Esq. Mayor 1837. See Allen Whites book on Church & Castle Street page 35.
