Christchurch Occasional Paper written by M. A. Hodges. No. 39 Christchurch and Domesday Book. Much of Christchurch Borough today was in Domesday part of 'Egheiete' (Edgegate) Hundred (less Holdenhurst) and small parts of Shirley (Shire Clearing) e.g. Winkton and a part of bashley in Rowditch Hundred and land at Hinton Admiral.
