DESCRIPTION OF RECORD:

Allen White collection. Part of No 19 High Street shown, this is Crowley & Co Ltd brewers & wine merchants, the next property was known as Shaws House, a Tudor period house with a huge central chimney, the building looks derelict it has a 'Sold' by H.A. Wooff auctioneer of Christchurch. This building was demolished in 1910 and a post office built on the site. See Allen Whites book on the High Street, page 20.
