A virtual meeting

‘Dad’s Army – Fact & Fiction’ by Steve Roberts.

As your Society is not able to offer our regular evening talks until the present guidelines and restrictions are lifted, we have arranged for Steve Roberts, one of our previous local speakers, to present one of his talks on line by way of a Zoom meeting. He has recently completed three other successful online talks. The Society will host the evening planned for Wednesday 18th November 2020 at 19.00. It will last approximately one hour without a break.

The title: Dad’s Army Fact & Fiction. It is mostly lighthearted in content although it does touch on the realism of life for the Home Guard during the war. On your screen you will see Steve’s slide presentation with him talking live from home in the background.

For those wishing to join, we will send out by email, a link two days before the talk that details the meeting number and password. You can still join even if you do not use or have a webcam. After the meeting there will be a short time available for Q&As which will require a webcam/microphone connection. During the meeting the host will mute all microphones.

There is no fee for the evening; just a request for any feedback, good or poor, by email on the use of Zoom as a temporary measure to keep in touch. Please use my email address for your comments.
