Allen White collection. Envelope No 8. Photo No 41 (negative). large inglenook fireplace with huge cross beam lintel. Surrounding walls have been exposed showing the brickwork, ceiling tiles are still in situ. In the top left of the negative has inset an earlier view of the fireplace ‘fireplace September 1976’, showing the walls covered in wallpaper. (Note 1976 date is incorrect as house was demolished in 1972/3, should possibly be 1966). See Allen whites book on Christchurch High Street, 30.
