Christchurch High Street looking south. Hookey’s house demolished 1973, lower shop premises sign for ‘Butlers’, next door to the Town Hall. Opposite is Druitt’s house, Masonic Lodge (built 1837) and 2 late 18C tenements (see Allen Whites book on High Street page 18. Kellys 1885 Christchurch Directory lists Francis William Butler poulterer & butcher of High Street but no number given.
