The Christchurch History Society wish to make a correction to the Message from the Executive in the  Autumn 2017 – Issue 19.     On page 4 in the second paragraph errors were made in the text.

The Society was contacted by John Brooks of the Friends of the New Forest Airfields (FONFA) to report a number of errors in the review of the Society’s visit to the Museum in Sopley.    Ian Watson (Programme Secretary) the author of the article has apologised to John Brooks, a Trustee, Hon Treasurer and Membership Secretary. The corrections to the second paragraph on page 4 are :- Dr Henry Gooodall and John Brooks met us at the entrance and Lynn Corbin (Trustee) was in charge of the tea room and hospitality for our visit. The second RAF Sopley was built for the Cold War in 1952. The Museum now has it’s new address and is located at the western end of the new housing development on the outskirts of Bransgore.    The Museum & Education Centre are located at Mosquito Way, Heatherstone Grange, Derritt Lane, Bransgore, Christchurch, BH23 8AU.
