When applying for membership of the Christchurch History Society, whether joining new or renewing, each individual must complete and sign a Membership Form. The data given on the Form will be held by the Society encrypted on computer and processed (ie used) as needed by the Society.  Under the provisions of the (new) GDPR, the Society is required to advise each individual, before they complete the Form, first of the lawful bases under which it processes their data and secondly of the purposes for which the data will be processed. The lawful bases are set out on the Form. The processing purposes are set out in the Privacy Notice 2018, which is a third page of the Form. This also sets out each individual’s further rights under the GDPR.  By signing the Form, each individual acknowledges that they have read and accepted the Privacy Notice. Therefore, in the case of joint membership, both must sign.

To become a Member please download the Membership Form from the links below. Please then fill in the whole of the form, using block capitals, sign it and send it (but not the Privacy Notice), together with your subscription by cheque made payable to “Christchurch History Society” to The Membership Secretary, Christchurch History Society, The Porch Room, Priory House, Quay Road, Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 1BX or bring the form and money to an evening meeting.
